A Virtual ClassroomDate: 05/07/1993In 1992-1993, working with school-aged kids, I co-produced an acclaimed “Virtual Classroom” which investigated the creative and educational possibilities of emerging technologies, including networked collaborative digital painting, a virtual puppet theater, thought-driven MIDI music, and on-line communities. The event was funded in part from grants from the Boulder Arts Commission, the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District and with in-kind support from Eight Days A Week Media Center, and GW Hannaway and Associates. The one-day event was presented at the Boulder Public Library auditorium. |
